Hi, I’m Josh “DJ” Ortiz—owner of DJ Ortiz Events, U.S. Marine veteran, and proud Puerto Rican and Queens, NY native. My love for music started early, growing up surrounded by DJs spinning at block parties, live musicians in city parks, and breakdancers lighting up the streets. That energy shaped me—and now I bring it to every event I’m part of.

I’m an open-format DJ, which means I play all genres—customizing the music to fit your crowd and your vibe. From elegant weddings to wild parties, corporate events to festivals, I’ve done it all. I’ve spun tracks in South Carolina, traveled to Florida and Georgia, and now call New England home. I also partner with other top DJ companies as a trusted subcontractor.
